According to the Evening Standard, the British Gas is preparing to bring additional 20% on every household energy bills.  The report also says that experts believe that British Gas will augment its gas fees by one fifth and its electricity rates by 9%.  A reporter revealed that a normal yearly bill will increase from £1,096 to £1,270 per year which is a monthly increase of £14.50.  If this is true, the gas company’s cost increases will be in line with the latest fees declared by Scottish Power the previous month which will be 19% additional on gas and 10% increase for electricity.
